Vince Carlin’s AoF Productions is recruiting actors for its staged reading of Kitchener author
Richard Quesnel’s wonderful play, Charles Dickens writes a Christmas Carol. The play
interweaves the Christmas Carol story with the story of the Dickens family.
There’s a chorus that adds Christmas carols throughout and one original song that the whole cast performs (easy enough for non-singers!). This crowd-pleaser is becoming an almost annual event.
The play is always a fundraiser. In the past we have donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Young Adults with Cancer and Knox United Church’s New Horizons Fund (the church donated their space for our performances). This year we will donate within Halton.
When: 2 performances, December 6,7,8 weekend
Where: one performance in Burlington, one in Oakville
Commitment: everything is read in performance; nothing to memorize, just be familiar with your script characters’ lines (some people will read multiple characters).
3 rehearsals, likely one virtual, other times to be determined.
